Uganda National Association of Cerebral palsy (UNAC)
Uganda National Association of Cerebral palsy (UNAC) is a growing umbrella organisation of persons with Cerebral palsy (CP) in Uganda established in 2013 to advocate for the rights of persons with CP. UNAC is legally registered with NGO board a government organ that is charged with registration and monitoring the operations of NGOs in Uganda. UNAC provides a strong voice for a common cause, particularly to defend, protect and promote the rights and advocate for equal opportunity for people with Cerebral palsy in Uganda. UNAC’s programs includes: Identification and mobilization of persons with cerebral palsy and their parents/care givers, Capacity building, Economic empowerment, lobbing and advocacy, Networking, community rehabilitation, collaboration and resource mobilization. The membership of UNAC comprises of people with CP and parents/care givers of children with CP. UNAC has so far established four regional structures with interim executive committees leading to membership structures.

for their rights and participate in inclusive sustainable development initiatives.

Persons with CP in Uganda living a better-quality life.
UNAC MAJOR OBJECTIVE
- Identification and mobilization of persons with Cerebral palsy and their parents/care givers to form regional, district and grass root structures
- Public awareness on the needs and rights of people with Cerebral palsy.
- Advocate for equal access to opportunities for people with cerebral palsy in government and NGOs programs in Uganda
- Mobilize resources for UNAC programs
