Economic empowerment

Economic empowerment of persons with CP and their caregivers.
Bringing up a child with cerebral palsy in Uganda is challenging due to inadequate knowledge on CP, limited psycho-social support and poverty. Many caregivers experience nutritional challenges, distress and isolation. To address these issues, UCPNA had to take an action taken of supporting caregivers and persons with CP to form self-help groups focusing on caregivers empowerment.

Under this program; UCPNA with help from her partners, do support caregivers and persons with CP by training them on how to start and manage income generating activities and give them start up items based on their choice on the kind of livelihood activity one wants to engage in.
